Since I started my custom spice business, I have been happily surprised that my desire and love of cooking has increased. I have been cooking for most of my life (since the age of 11) but Spicy Spuds and Other Stuff has helped me to create an even greater variety of foods than before. I am feeling even more inspired to become a better cook who is striving to make healthy foods, using my custom spice blends! In my e-book I now have 50 recipes that I have personally developed myself. Each recipe includes pictures of each dish and the nutrition facts per serving. The longer I am in business the more I realize that networking is so important. It is powerful when professionals and business owners get together in person. It gives them an opportunity to converse, get to know each other and to market their businesses. Modern technology offers a lot of great ways for people to communicate such as emailing, texting, talking on the phone, social media, mailers, videos (Zoom), etc. But it’s still very relevant and effective to have the opportunity to speak with people in person. I believe that humans are wired for personal interaction. It has also given me a rich opportunity to meet some great people in my area, pass out business cards and to show them the products that I have to offer.

On October 12, 2022 Spicy Spuds and Other Stuff partnered with A Taste of Coffee to host a ribbon cutting through the Henderson Chamber of Commerce. It was the perfect location to showcase my spices used on food items from A Taste of Coffee. A fun time was had by all who attended.
